FAQ

  1. How do we find our way there?

Upon booking you are sent out an email with full directions and our three what3words. We also have small ‘x’ marks the spot signs along the way as you get close - just in case. Here are some images of the entrance and parking space. These images are for Hansel, Gretel and the Larch Cabin.

2. What if i don’t know how to operate something or struggle to light the fire?

Don’t worry there are detailed instructions provided.

3. What if we run out of logs or anything else?

Just drop us a text if you are getting low on logs and we will happily top them up the same day for a small charge; we always keep an eye on the rest…

4. What if there is a problem?

We offer 24hr support for any issue you may have.

5. Can I use a hairdryer or straighteners?

No I’m afraid they are very high power items and this is one of the sacrifices of being off-grid in these locations. However our upcoming yacht, Citara, will be able to cope as there is shore power.

6. Is there parking at the accommodation?

Yes, we always have parking at our accommodation. You will be told exactly where in your directions text message you receive after booking. Please note your vehicle is left at your own risk.

7. What does Hinterlandes mean?

Beyond the mountains.

8. Will we be warm enough in Winter?

Yes, all our accommodation has been designed to be used year-round and there’s nothing better than getting in from the cold to a wood burning fire.

9. Are they completely off-grid?

Yes, completely…

10. Do you recycle?

Yes, we have designed our cabins to leave as little impact on the environment a possible and we encourage you to do the same.
